Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal Tunnel

The Carpal Tunnel is a narrow passageway formed by the Carpal ligament, on the inside of the wrist and the underlying wrist bones. Long tendons run through the passageway from the muscles in the forearm to the bones of the hand and fingers.

The median nerve also runs through the tunnel to control the hand muscles and convey feeling from the fingers.
